Little about Me

​

I'm Ajith — a curious being who loves exploring, a little adventurous too, but never disconnected from human emotion. I enjoy traveling to new places, meeting people, learning about different cultures, discovering mental models, and trying out new things.
 

Stories have always touched me. I believe in their power — they inspire empathy, help me understand people beyond the surface, and appreciate every unique perspective.
 

I started my career as a designer around 2015. Since then, I've worked with U.S.-based companies, startups, design studios, and as a consultant helping build businesses from the ground up. My work has spanned B2B, B2C, SaaS, edtech, banking applications, crypto, AI — and many more fascinating domains.
 

I'm also an ethnographic researcher, often in the field, spending time with people, learning from their lives. Field research is my favorite part of the process — it grounds me. It has allowed me to impact lives on the ground in ways that deeply matter.
 

Over time, I’ve worn many hats: junior designer, design head, operations head, CXO, founder of a design & film studio, co-founder of a food tech company, and now — a film director and writer. Life’s been generous that way. I’ve always stayed open to things that excite me and create real impact.
 

In 2022, I began seriously pursuing filmmaking — choosing cinema as a medium to voice what I feel, see, and believe. Telling stories through film has been one of the most fulfilling creative shifts I’ve made. I’m loving every bit of this journey.
 

That said, design is still at the core of what I do. I continue to work as a design consultant, while also exploring organisational challenges, research projects, and service design solutions. I enjoy moving between these worlds — because at their heart, they’re all about understanding people and crafting meaningful experiences.
 

Exploration has taught me empathy. It’s helped me connect with people, and design for what truly matters. Every project and every story is a chance to make a small but lasting impact — and keep evolving.
